Having little children around at your wedding puts a smile on everyone's face. But it can also be a long day for little ones. It's worth thinking of providing some child-friendly zones and activities for the little people on your big day. You may want to provide an area with bean bags, books, stickers and simple toys to keep pre-schoolers happy. Some simple crayons and colouring books at the table can work wonders, as can a simple puzzle to keep them amused. Another idea is to bring in the professionals - perhaps a magician, balloonist or even specific childcare such as a creche. We've teamed up with Tinies, the UK’s leading childcare agency who has launched their mobile crèche service. to give you an idea of what they offer. Experienced and trained staff will transform any room or area into a fantastic crèche, which is fun, stimulating, and safe. Each crèche has various ‘zones’ that include the Baby Zone, the Snooze Zone and the Active Zone and there is even the option of having your crèche designed to match the theme of your event! This brilliant service can be tailored to your individual requirements, depending on your budget, the age range of the children and the location. Children of all ages can enjoy anything from face painting and jewellery making to field games and fashion shows plus all the toys they could possibly wish for. Guaranteeing your guests have a good time couldn't be easier! Knowing that your children are in safe hands is vital for any parent, so, rather than running around after the children, relax and enjoy the event in the knowledge that they’re in safe hands. All Tinies staff are qualified, CRB checked, referenced and have a first aid certificate. Ofsted legislation, liability insurance and child safety issues are all taken care of. Tinies works to the legal ratios set by Ofsted who govern childcare, so for babies under 2 years they have 1 carer to 3 babies, children 2-3 years they have 1 carer to 4 children and for children over 3 years they have 1 carer to 8 children. Prices start from £600 for a Tinies Mobile Crèche for 10 children, prices will obviously vary depending on hours, ages of children and number of childcarers needed. www.tiniescreches.com We know Brides like to look their best for the Big Day. So that's why we've invited the lovely people at London's fat-reducing clinic, Waterhouse Young, to tell us about their new treatment - CoolTech.
London’s leading aesthetic clinic, Waterhouse Young, is pleased to introduce ‘CoolTech’, a revolutionary fat-freezing procedure which promises to reduce fat in areas treated by at least 20% after just one treatment. Cooltech is Europe’s most effective non-surgical and natural way to lose stubborn lumps and bumps around areas such as the stomach and love handles that no amount of exercise nor great diet will shift. Cooltech is a comfortable treatment and is completely non-invasive, it does not require needles or incisions, therefore no anesthesia or pain medication is needed and there is no down time. Clients may enjoy another treatment at the same time along with Waterhouse Young's signature extras: relaxation time in contemporary treatment rooms with healthy snacks, antioxidant drinks, iPads - whatever they wish to relax. Clients can carry on as normal immediately afterwards and look forward to a new slimmer silhouette in four weeks. Anna Silsby RN, Clinic Director says: “We are very excited about adding Cooltech to our treatment portfolio. Our clients love the way the treatment transforms those stubborn areas that no amount of diet and exercise can shift, giving them a smooth silhouette. Its what everyone has been waiting for.” Perfect for any bride in the run-up to their wedding day. Combined Cooltech & Pressotherapy treatments cost £950 per session, £2550 for a course of 3. If the bracelet complements your wedding ring you may want to wear it on your left arm so that when you extend your arm people can get the full impact of your jewellery. But if you want to balance your jewellery you may prefer to go for the right arm; the most important thing is to be comfortable. It is also traditional for Bride's not to wear a watch so you may prefer to wear it instead if you are used to something near your wrist.
If you can't decide on one piece of jewellery for your wrist why not consider wearing one for the day, and changing into something different for the evening, such as a stack of bangles or a cuff bracelet. It's your day so express your style your way. Think about the colours of your bridesmaid's dresses - is there a colour you can use in your wedding bracelet to link the look? Don't be afraid to mix colours and metals together, as long as you chose the right colours for your skin tone, you'll look and feel fabulous! Remember there are no set rules here, it is about you feeling beautiful and special on your wedding day. You will then have something to wear in the years to follow which holds all the memories of your wonderful wedding day. For more wedding jewellery ideas visit www.bentleyjewellery.com. A wedding bracelet can really add an extra dimension to your wedding jewellery and gown, bringing the whole look together. Here, jewellery expert Claire Bentley of Bentley & Co Jewellery gives her tips on choosing the right bracelet for your big day:
You may be able to have a bracelet re-worked using older, inherited pieces of jewellery you have, not only can this add sentimental value, but can reduce the cost by reusing some materials. It will be a bracelet which can link you history with your future, and remind you in years to come of your special vows; as unlike your wedding dress it can be worn again and again…The bracelet will look amazing in your wedding photography when you are holding your bouquet. You may also want to look at your wedding dress for inspiration and select some beads or designs that complement your gown. If your wedding has a particular style, such as vintage or a beach wedding then that will help with your decision. Take into account where you are getting married; is there a symbol, flower or coloured gem that you can incorporate into your jewellery that will remind you of this place? Or you could consider personalising your bracelet with your initials or the date of the big day. Work with a jeweller who can take their time to talk through designs and sketches with you to result in a piece you truly treasure. Some people love the idea of a bespoke piece of jewellery, but struggle for inspiration. The good news is that that is your jewellery designers job; they will happily sit with you and go through ideas and designs. It's best to have a bracelet that is quite understated and subtle but go for your own personal choice to match your unique style. You may want to invest in a piece that you can then pass on through family generations. So much of getting hitched is about the jewellery. And not just yours. Give the man in your life an extra special gift with some truly bespoke jewellery - such as cuff links designed with his favourite hobby in mind.
If your man has a particular hobby he is passionate about you may like to bring this into the design such as golf, cars, sailing boats or aircraft. You could also consider working with your jewellery for something with a vintage feel that could be passed on to other generations. Another idea is to have a pair designed showing a small map of the country you met in. As with your wedding ring the you alter the look of the cuff-links with a matt or high polish finish. It's best to show your jewellery your jewellery and take the time to talk about the look that you want. A good jewellery will take their time with you. As the bride-to-be you'll be looking for jewellery for yourself and bridesmaids, but let's not forget the men involved in your special day. That can include of course the groom, the best man, ushers and your Father or Father-in-Law.
Cuff-links can be bought off the shelf or custom made to match the theme of your wedding. You may like a particular colour, detail or pattern on your cuff-links. Or you may choose to add a date or initials to each pair of cuff-links to personalise them as a gift to your guests. It's vital to get the right style of cuff-links to complement the whole outfit or they could ruin the look. Cuff links first appeared in the 16th century to tie two sides of the shirt sleeves together. It is thought that during the reign of Louis X1V that buttons started to be used as the first type of cuff links. If your wedding is very formal and elegant you'll probably want to get some cuff-links to match the style . Alternatively if you have a more informal wedding you could work with some novelty cuff links. For something very contemporary your jeweller may be able to make something totally individual |
